I live in Montana so I deal with high altitudes and snow and rain, no problems. I noticed a fair amount of pick up in the mid and top end and it makes the cool woosh sound to boot!!. the only issues I have ever had is one time the rubber mount deal on the fenderwell came loose and was rattling some. Hope this might help some. Good luck.
Also just because you car doen't have CEL doesn't mean its running ok.What gauges do you have?Have you ever checked/dataloged to see what your AFR'S are at full boost?

Havent really looked in to it that far. I havent had any drivablity problems with the car. Dosent mean the afr is 100% on but I have not had any issues. I know the car has pulled a few other known stock Rexs. Keep in mind my car still has the stock exhaust, copper ngks, GPmoto intercooler hoses, ground cable mods and boost solenoid line mod. Not a whole lot of stuff but enough to pull a non-modded car. Maybe I am just getting lucky to this point I dont know. I am not saying that a CAI is the greatest thing since sliced bread nor am I calling them junk,I am just saying with my car it has worked well.
