TGV problems. Help please

I got a CEL today. Code P1092 Tumble Generator Valve #2 stuck open. Couple of questions:

1. Can I still run the car? No idle problems, power loss, etc. Seems if is stuck open it is mostly a SMOG issue, but will it be a problem starting the car?

2. Does the entire assembly have to be replaced? If so, ballpark usual cost?

Just trying to figure out if I should even consider fixing this myself. Thanks.

I would try reseting the ECU. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery, press the brake to the floor, restore negative ground to the battery. See if it pops up after doing this.

Do you have an engine management? FMIC? Ever take your TMIC off and put something in that might have sliped in there?

Any mods done to the car recently?
The TGV sensors break very very easily. One of the guys around here broke one putting in a grounding kit.
All so check that both TGV motors and both sensors are plugged in.

Thanks for the help. After checking all the connections to the motors & sensors, I cleared the codes and it didn't come back for quite a while, but when it did I got two more codes, now both valves are stuck open and it is showing a problem with the circuit. I guess I will be taking my car apart this weekend. Looks like I might get a tgv delete.
