Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

For those who have done this ...

What are the positives and negatives of doing this modification?
What gains in HP, torque, and response did you gain?

I currently have an '02 WRX with:
JDM 6MT
3in turbo back
catless up-pipe
K&N drop in
APS turbo inlet pipe
APS TMIC
VF34
COBB AP ProTune

Thanks

Cold starts will suffer.
The TVG will be fully open once engine warms up and stays open.
Its there to reduce pullotion during warm up.
But I have been hearing it does restrict flows some what with after market turbos.

nothing will suffer from doing this....just the atmosphere...good for 5 to 10whp depending on the turbo.
