Tell me everything you know--> MONSTER TDO4

hi i am approacing 50k on my 2002 wrx and i am thinking of sending my stock tdo4 to deadbolt enterprises for the monster tdo4 rebuild once my tax return comes. i was just trying to get some opinions on this turbo charger i know alot about the vf series and i know everyone talks about them but i dont have the money and i want the extra power. right now i have:

3inch helix downpipe(catless)
3inch hks hi power catbacl
hks up pipe
autometer cf boost gauge

i am wondering what i am gonna have to do after i send out my turbo. am io gonna need any neccessary parts? wil i need injectors? 255lb fule pump? new TMIC?

i was also going to purchase a cobb accessport becuase their is a local shop that does custom tunning on the accessport i am hoping they can tune for the monster tdo4

any advice would be a great help thanks alot

Don't bother with it. The TD04 spools plenty fast. What you will have is a TD04 the spools faster but still has no top end.

any other suggestions. i know the turbo will not be the best even after the monster port and what not but how i see it is you get what you pay for... a completely rebuilt turbo with some nice port work for 400 bucks id say its hard to beat that.

I agree. It will spool a bit faster but not really add power. Money is better spent elsewhere IMO... some things I would recomend over the p 'n' p td04 would be:

-custome tune (AP/ecutek)
-intercooler hoses
-egt gauge

don't waste ur money, just get a vf30/34 or 22. You would be happy with that setup. I know I am.

TD04 is still a small turbo. I would not bother. Calling TD04 a Monster, is like saying "Giant Ant"... Get a VF30. VF34 is not worth it, if you are concerned with overall cost. VF30 is still the best BANG FOR THE BUCK and it holds its value pretty good if you take care of it.

yeah the vf30 is very similar to the vf39 correct? i know the vf30 is off the version 7 and the 39 off the usdm sti but im not sure of the difference. would a stock sti top mount be efficent for this set -up with sti pinks and fuel pump and accessport
