I got an AEM CAI....Tell me everything about it...
I've had the AEM CAI for about 10 months now with absolutely no problems. Everybody has real mixed opinions about CAI, but I like the AEM one. It might make the car run leaner than stock, but the stock setup is so rich that there is no need to worry. Also, the ECU will adjust to the intake and it should run fine. Furthermore, I've never gotten a CEL from my intake. If you like it, then keep it. It sounds hella mean and I noticed a slight increase.

Had mine on for about a year. Never a problem with it.
I have not seen many issues with AEM's and stock setups. Other intakes seem to trigger CEL's more often.
However if you are looking at bigger turbos and engine managament there seem to be problems with trying to tune with any intake including the AEM. That is why i took mine off.

I have had my AEM CAI for almost 5 months now. I got one CEL and that was when I initially installed the intake. After that all I did was reset the ecu and problem gone. So far I have not experience any problems with losing hp never notice any leaning conditions. To be honest I dont know how alot of people have problems with the AEM CAI. I don't think a big name like AEM would put a product out on the market that did not work. I also took the time to measure the location where the MAF sensor sits on the stock piping and the CAI and it is exactly the same measurements top to bottom and the diameter on the piping is the same. Well thats just my 2 cents hate it or or love I for one support the use of AEM CAI.

Do not be fooled by so called "cold air intakes." The turbo unit is the hottest part of the engine. As soon as the air travels through the turbo it heats up to a constant temperature anyway. There is no reason to risk damaging your turbo induction impellers with road derby. Keep your intake in the engine bay!
