there's a site i found before where a group of mechanics actually went and did tests on mobil 1 syn oil. I believe they came up with the results stating that u can change your oil after switching to synthetic every 18000miles!



but then wait till i find it again....i'm too tired right now

yeah, i know what you're talking about. it made for some interesting read....they had readers send in oil analysis done on their car. they had data for oil analysis done between 1k miles up to 18k miles

there's been tons of discussion bout dino v. syn

usually falls into two camp:

one would say not to switch over to syn till after you break in the motor, could be anywhere between 1k miles - 20k miles, but usually 10k miles is the majority

the second one is, get that dino crap outta there as soon as you bring the car home

either one, everyone seems to agree syn >>> dino
