On the way to work this morning my check engine light came on. My exhaust manifold to uppipe gasket is leaking pretty good. I ordered the gasket and got it in yesterday. It was something I was planning on doing today, but was wondering if this would cause my engine light to come on. I was thinking the 02 is getting a bad reading, possibly running lean? Not sure but did manage to record a video of the leak so you can get an idea of how bad it is. It drives and idles fine. I'll be uploading shortly but for now I won't be off work for 8 hours so I have to go through the pain and misery of not know why its coming on. I'll be running a code scan later today. So my question is would this cause the CEL to come on? Thanks for the help.

So to answer my own question the check engine readings came out to cylinder misfire #1 #2 and #3. Probable causes were faulty spark plugs
running lean or rich. I didn't change my plugs I just cleared the code and changed out the gasket. The leak from the gasket is gone but my uppipe is cracked from the stock spot weld. The car check engine light hasn't came back on since. Car runs good except for a small hairline crack. Figure, I might as well buy a aftermarket uppipe, downpipe and exhaust and get a tune.
