spt intake: is it true it's louder?
is it true that the spt short ram intake is louder(turbo noise) than many or all other short ram intake?
if so why?
thanks in advance,
Trevor

well with the intake you will hear the spool a little bit louder.... but mainly you will hear an increase bpv noise.
when you do the turbo inlet you will hear spool much better.

i wouldnt say you hear the turbo spool louder, you can hear the stock BOV a little bit more, it gets a bit annying after a while, but i have had it for more than a year now and dont even hear it anymore...

not saying that i dont love my spt intake but and coupled with the exhaust i did see gains of 11 hp. but IMO i just think that most people like it cuz you can hear the BOV

Short Rams will always be louder vs anything. Personally if I was you I wouldn't run a short ram with a top mount. Go with some type of cold air like Aps. Spt short rams have also been known to lean out the car more than any other intake which makes it really bad on a stock car from 2006 and up.
