BOV problems

Alright so before i say what i'm about to say....i'd like to state this first. The last time i asked a question about a blow off valve, as of how to "fix" a noise, people replied with "take it off". I'm not interested in taking it off, even if you believe that i'm truely a moron and that i'm ruening my engine. I paid for it, i just wanna make it work.

With that being said, I bought an HKS BOV. I'm not sure..what the problem is. When I drive, everything is cool, but when i put the pedal literally all the way down (for testing reasons) the BOV begins to 'scream' then is followed by the "pshhh" sound when i let go of the gas. I'm not quite sure why it makes a screaming sound. I don't know if it's a leak through one of the gaskets...or the BOV is leaking, or what. Does anyone know if there's anything i could do to fix the situation? (besides taking the BOV off lol)

Thanks.

you should check your up pipe. maybe the guy you bought your car from had an after market up pipe and took it off. i only say this because there was a 06sti that came in for warranty and he had the same problem. hks bov and a very loud scream under throttle and it came from the up pipe having a bad gasket.

ok generally when I am trying to figure out what the problem I take off what i think is causing the problem.
first replace the bov gasket (its cheap so start there)
in your case you could take the bov off and see if it will screams with the oem bpv on.
if it still does it then you know your problem is not bov/bpv related and most likely its a uppipe leak or boost leak of some sort.
