smoke coming through vents while cooldown
What's up guys, I've got a question...At the end of my commute I have to drive up a steep hill...sometimes when I get to the top and let my car cool down when I park, smoke comes out through the vents (not much, very little). My only mods are up pipe/downpipe/catback...I don't see how this could cause it to happen? Was it because of removing the heat shield? I'm not leaking any oil or anything... any input will help.
Thanks

haha that happened to me and I was scared. This WRX has way different characteristics vs my previous cars. I drove for a while came home for about 10 mins then started the car again then mist came out for about 5 secs and went away. I thought the car was gonna blow when it went "psssssss"
I would take it to get looked at. My truck did the same thing, and it ended up being some wires that were melting together. If I had left it for awhile, then it could have caused a fire. Better safe than sorry!

Could be nothingl, but have it looked at. Theres sometimes a burning smell in my dads legacy and it turned out to be nothing according to the dealers although we still smell it sometimes.
Peaty, how great does it feel to post a link again?

When it happens does it smell like burning oil or burning plastic? Next time it happens can you look under the hood and see if it's coming from there? The intake for the HVAC system is by the wipers on the right side I think.
I couldn't be happier and more greatful for the support we've gotten
