2006 wrx stage 2 ap smoke while idling

2006 wrx stage 2 ap smoke while idling

Anyone ever had this problem after flashing to stage 2? I have a full catless turbo back exhaust . Perrin intake. The smoke comming out if the exhaust smells like burnt rubber and it usually smokes alot while idling after wot. Help!

Mine does that too sometimes. I know it's not burning oil cuz the smoke is like whiteish/blue

+1 my passenger side boot is torn and will occasionally spit onto my dp after driving and cause a little white smoke at idle

Yeah its whitish blueish. Just wondering what oil weight are you using?

I checked my side boot and its all good. also the smoke is comming out of the exhaust

Might be a seal in the turbo. I have a similar problem but it isn't consistent enough for me to isolate to figure out.

Does your coolant level decreases faster? Mine goes out every month or so so I think that's my problem.

In that case I'd say your stock turbo is possibly on its way out, mine did the same a while back over a span of months, started with white smoke at idle that eventually became big blowoffs of burnt oil(blue smoke..) after being stopped at red lights/idling, sure enough it was the seals when I replaced it

Check out your turbo for shaft play and check your oil level, if you have to top it off every now and then it's definitely your turbo, hope that helps and btw I was cobb stage 2 as well before mine went, turbo could have been weak and now that 16psi isn't helping out lol

My coolant level doesnt decrease fast. But i have a big feeling its the turbo seals

Lol yeah i think its the turbo seals. That 16psi jump pretty much gave my turbo a heart a attack lol. Planning to upgrade to an 18g in the next month.

I use mobil one. But i think its too thin. Might switch to rotella
