oh my bad it was up higher... Just go get the protune, you get the extra hp over a shelf map. you launch at 4500 and when do you shift gears?
I launch at 5500
Shift to 2nd at 7000
Shift to 3rd at 7000
Bounce off rev limiter
= 14.1 or better, down to my 13.7 best.

I've seen some kid with a red WRX and he had the same mods as you except he said he had the japanese WRX turbo? His best was mid 14s. Sounds like you guys could have the same problem lol

I met that guy with the red wrx. I doint think he had the upgraded turbo though. Just a JDM WRX motor.

Anyhow I would launch at 4500, and shift at redline each gear.

Same here. With the bigger turbo (I just called a vf a bigger turbo lol) you have to be up in the 5-5.5k range. The td04 was fine to launch at 4.5k, but with the vf I tend to bog a little when launching there.

60' - 2.0

This was with...
vf39@17psi
TXS TMIC
Cobb DP
UTEC
sti injectors
APS turbo inlet
Stock cat-back (I'm lazy )
stock uppipe (I'm lazy. Notice a trend? )

not to put you down but I definately think it is your mad skillz. you may need to slip the clutch more so that it does NOT bog. getting a custom tune will not help much if you don't have the skill to take advantage of it. That bog is costing you at least .5 sec. keep practicing. try launching at different RPM and varying the amount of slip to suit your style.

just go to a road where nobody ever goes, and practice a lot until you find out what works for you.
