Hey whats up everyone I'm new here at i-club. Just got my black 03 wrx a couple weeks ago. I know someone has gone over this probably, but I couldn't find the thread anywhere so sorry I need to start a new one hehe. How do you go about removing the silencer?

Okay, is the '04 really different? First of all, all the little clips are in completely the wrong place, so maybe it just some body issues. I finally got it out. Great. Maybe I could hear a difference, but not much.
Anyhow, then I seemed to have less boost!?! Before, it maxed out at just over 13 psi (not quite the advertised 13.5, but whatever) now it pegs at just under 11! Soooo, I stuck the darn thing back in, but still 11 psi. I reset the ECU and did the little Vinshu 2500 rpm 2-4 psi trick, but still 11 psi! What could I have done. Will it come back with learning? SHould the silencer removal had this effect? Thanks, Eric.
