scoobysport question
I've been doing alot of research lately on exhaust and I think I've decided to purchase the Scoobysport exhaust.
It seems that the Scoobysport muffler is only an axelback due to them selling a center rear section. Am I correct in assuming this?
I'm looking for a catback setup for now, just until my warranty runs out. Then all hell will break loose on the my car.
This may seem like a dumb question but I want to make sure before I order so I get everything I need rather than having to order twice.
Thanks
Jeremy

i'm pretty sure that you can buy the cat back from them, i think they sell the extra section for people who want to run a piecemeal exhaust setup.

your assumption is correction. A scobbysport cat back exhaust is two pieces (so you need to order two pieces). A Turbo back will be 4 pieces total. If you really want the Scooby cat back be prepared to pay over $700.

Of course a few pints of Guinness at lunch doesn't help, either...LOL
My friend has the Scoobysport catless turboback on his WRX. Craftsmanship is so sloppy I'd call it ghetto. The single tip sticks too far out from the bumper for my taste. It also takes forever to arrive once you've ordered. Performance-wise it's a good product.

I got one and I can tell you first hand, that the welds are sloppy but they are NEVER going to break. A little overkill in that department. The Hayward and Scott (version 1) is handmade, and the new on (made by Janspeed) is not handmade.
I have the H&S version. Its nice and has a lot of low torque. Don't mistake this exhaust for being prety... nice sound too.

I have a scooby sport mid, center, and axle back and I think it is the best exhaust product out there. The appearance may not be the best but when its on your car you can't see the welds anyways but it will definately NEVER fall apart. I think and all my friends tell me my car sounds better than any other rex too. Very very throaty. And this product is definately worth the wait and price.
You don't have to wait...
If you don't want to wait you can go directly to Hayward & Scott for the original Scoobysport version like I did. Call H&S and you'll have your stuff very quickly.
I love the sound of my Scoobysport back box hooked up to my TurboXS Stealthhback!! I had just the back box (muffler section) hooked up to the stock exhaust for a while and it still sounded awesome.
BTW...It may be the Janspeed version that sticks way out past the bumper; mine doesn't extend too far at all.

if you are a huge sissy and want it to LOOK good, get something else. if you like your car to be faster, and want an exhaust that is NEVER going to rust out or break, get the scoobysport. it's good stuff.
I haven't heard of any stainless steel exhausts rusting out or breaking, scoobysport or otherwise. Just because it looks good doesn't mean it doesn't also produce power. My Vishnu turboback manages to look and sound great while also improving performance.

If I had the choice of Vishnu or Scooby Sport(the ugly one), I'd be all over the Scooby Sport in a heartbeat.
