SBC-ID as boost gauge only?

SBC-ID as boost gauge only?
This maybe a silly question but can i use my SBC as a boost gauge only. Recently got ECUTEK done to my car and it was suggested that i remove it so that the ECUTEK can control boost. I like the graph mode and the peak boost indicator on the SBC and i figure if i ever want to run a lot of boost it might be nice to have the SBC lying around.

Sure you can. Hook up the boost line and dont connect the solenoid.
That's a pricey boost gauge. I'd sell it and by some other, cheaper, digital or lcd-analog to replace it and use the rest of the $ for something else.
