rim question- HELP

I was putting on my new 17 inch rims today, and when I went to put the stock lug nuts on they were to shallow to fit. Does anyone know of a parts store that might carry longer lug (nappa, advanced auto parts). has anyone else ever ran in to this problem, what did you do. I really don't want to have to order them cause the tires are sitting in my bay a work. Its an 04' if that helps. hope fully someone can help.

I tried D and G auto (a local store) and they didn't have anything. But I haven't tried any other store yet. the Napa up hear close at 7:00 for some reason.

you might not be able to use the stock lugs, or a normal lug. most aftermarket wheels require a socket lug. you can get them on ebay for cheap, and most pimp stores like autozone sell them.

Thank you. I'll try autozone. Hope fully I wont have to order lugs. I really want to put my new rims on. Thanks again.

most aftermarket rims require a different style lug nut than OEM. and it is crucial to get the right one. that is one thing i really appreciate about tirerack.com. they even sent the right ones for free.

p.s. this thread would probably do better in the wheel/tire forum.
