Actually from the reading I've done... Your car sounds like a car with a turboback exhaust that hasn't been tuned.

Are you completely catless after the turbo?

I dont have an AFC or anything, so there are no actual numbers telling me if I am running rich or not. I do have a BOV and an HKS Power intake installed (mushroom shaped foam filter one). The exhaust just smells really "gassy", and when I stomp the pedal, the engine seems to get choked out, almost like a hesitation. Changing plugs helped it a bit, and I dont run crappy gas, so I dont have any idea what it is. I just noticed there was a nice oily buildup on the inside of my intake near the MAF sensor. Thought that might be the problem.
First try going back to the stock intake and bypass valve. Use copper plugs one range colder than stock. The part number in the owner's manual for NGK coppers is off by one heat range for modded cars.
