reverse intake?

ok so im flipping through the new super street magazine and i see this nice looking WRX with a front mount intercooler. then i see a shot of his engine bay and his intake was facing backwards so the throttle body was pointing twards the front of the car. it looked like it made it way easier to do a front mount on our cars. my question is what do i have to do to accomplish this feat of enginering?

i've seen this done before...seems the intake headers were just installed backwards and the wiring was routed around it.

Ask me a particular question and I will be happy to asnwer it.

Few key points:

1. You need aftermarket fuel delivery system.
2. You need to get rid of AC (you could retain it, but the IC piping will be whacked then)
3. The intake manifold bolts right on backwards.
4. Wiring harness will need to be modified.
5. Throttle cable will need to get modified.

just curious.. why do you need an aftermarket fuel system? im sure im overlooking something, but as far as i can figure, if you get everything wired correctly so the right injector shoots at the right time, you should be able to use the stock system.
