Its fine. Since the WRX 4EAT holds boost at shifts, you will not get a "blow-off" at shifts, just if you release the throttle at boost.

you have BOV on your car already... just like MT

when you let the gas pedal off, it makes the noise. same function and same effect as MT.

A service tech at carlsen, kevin?, recommended putting a BOV in 4EAT to lessen the turbo lag. does that mean it do more good to 4EAT to 5MT?

i don't see how a BOV would reduce turbo lag in an automatic, or any car for that matter.

i had the hks on my car for about 20 mins beofre i realized i did not like it. it sounded really nice but it made the car bog in between shifts. maybe i did not give my ecu a chance for it to relearn anything, but i swear the shifts took longer and boost took longer to build.
