question about up/down and catback

I have the helix uppipe and catless downpipe, also the catback from helix. when mounting the downpipe to the mid and the mid to the exhaust, does anyone know how many foot lbs to torque them down. also is it a good idea to use lock tite (blue) or not. thanks

I got the whole downpipe and exhaust out, I just have to remove the uppipe tonight.

Good luck with the uppipe, it's a biznitch to get out. You might consider one of three methods for getting it out.
1. Lift the block
2. Remove the turbo
3. Have a friend work at the top pulling a turning the pipe, you go underneath the car and help from that end and jiggsaw puzzle it out. (I did this method but looking back lifting the block with wood would have been a lot easier.)

I didn't use lock tite when I did my pipes, and I didn't use a torque wrench either to my recollection. Just toghten the bolts till they are secure and you should be golden.

You don't need to torque the exhaust bolts and don't use locktite. Check the bolts after about a week to make sure that everything is still tight and not leaking.

It's not that bad, I managed it by unbolting the passenger side engine mount, and just manually pushing the engine up enough to wiggle the old uppipe out. The helix is much easier to get in. Also, make sure you have an 02 sensor wrench.
