Question about the fun i had today with the up pipe
Hey,
I just finished my entire exuast minus headers as i don't have them yet, and i finally got around to putting that thing on and what a ***** that was, NEVER AGAIN!!! a little under 5 hours and man do i hurt now.
But a few questions, do you have to put all the heat sheilds back on, also does anyone run with the dp heatsheild on.
Thanks
Matt
ohhh but sweet power, and for some reason im running rich b/c my friend with a wrx was following me and he said i was shooting some nice flames, any ideas on this one.

The flames make me assume you have no cats. FYI, police can smell catless cars when they follow you, and it's a federal crime. Anyways, no, you don't have to put your heat shields on, but they do have a function and they help the car to appear stock.

Don't know for sure, though...
Never say 'never again'...
really?
i just put on helix up and down and i put on the shields again just so if i pop my hood it looks stock.
i have the GFB hybrid, you saying i could have fireballs? or do you need headers as well to do that?
i want fireballs

I would put the Dp heat sheild on if i were you, think about all that heat from the turbo just radiating to the intercooler. heat is bad in some places like that.
