Thumbs up Prodrive Axle Back INSTALLED

Well about two hours ago, I finished installing the Prodrive. It took about forty five minutes to install, I was driving around the rest of the time. Piece of cake to install. Two wrenches, 11 and 14 mm.

It sounds sooo good that I didn't want to stop driving. Just right, not too loud, awesome idle. The car feels a quicker and sounds like a Porsche in the cockpit. Subaru should offer this as an option.

Well worth the money spent.

Going for the Cobb reflash next.

With the Cobb, or just the turbo back? What the heck, why not both!

Not that much, but enough to let you know something is up! I would say, the idle is "beefy", WOT aggressive, but not enough to tell the PoPo. The cockpit has an entirely new sound, I love it. The wife knows when I coming home. If you want loud this is not the ticket. It sounds just right for me.

Where'd you get yours...I'm looking around to try to find a used one, but would prefer a new one if the price was good.

TIA,
Ryan

I bought mine used from some dude on the "other" forums. I got the round tipped one, just to be different. That, and i don't like the look of the oval tipped one.

The round tips, come with the Prodrive performance packages. The performance of the Oval and round tips are reportedly the same. Round or Oval, what ever "floats you boat"

If you're talking to me, i didn't get the performance package. The guy i'm buying the round tipped prodrive muffler from did though. He ended up wanting something more stock looking, so he went with stromung. He liked it from what i understand, but i'm not absolutely sure.

I just got back from installing my prodrive axleback. It's perfect in my opinion! I used to have a magnaflow axleback, the one that came with my turboxs turboback, but it was a little too loud for me. After i swapped it with my new prodrive one, it's much quieter now, however you don't lose that low pitch rumble tone that makes your suby sound like it has *****. I'm very pleased with it.

Does anyone know how much louder a Prodrive axle back will be with replacement of the rear pipe (resonator) with a straight pipe? This would be the same as a cat back. Everything else is stock on the car.

With the turboxs stealthback and the prodrive axleback, it's still considerably quiet.

when i got my turboback, i installed the magnaflow muffler first, just to see how loud it was. This was on the stock downpipe, cat and midpipe w/ resonator. And then, i put on the turboxs downpipe, cat, and midpipe w/out resonator, and it sounded almost exactly the same. On that note, i bet removing the resonator will not change the loudness significantly. I'm not sure if you'll even hear any difference at all.
