problem installing omori meters

im trying to install 3 omori electronic gauges, boost EGT and oil pressure. im mounting them in the defi center pod.

these directions are loosely translated from japanese and not at all easy to understand.

i tried searching, but still have a couple questions...

1. where should i go thru the firewall at to make sure i have enough wire to reach all the sensor points?

2. it looks like i shouldnt mount the pod to the dash yet as i will have to access the back of the gauges to adjust the warning level after all the sensors are connected.. correct?

any help anyone can give is greatly appreciated.

Look behind your clutch pedal there is a plug there you can run your hoses/wires through. In the engine bay, it's under the brake master cylinder. Or you could also you the plug near your turbo where the AC drainage hose comes out of. That is under the dash above the factory ECU.

im actually very interested in hearing how your install goes...i was planning on getting boost/egt/oil temp in the defi pod from gruppe-s, but wasnt sure if i could do the install or not (havent been able to find EGT gauge installs or oil temp gauge installs thru searching).

please let me know how it works out.

also, noobie question, why oil pressure and not temp?
well Enigma76, it turns out that the electrical part is very easy after finding the information on this site and scoobymods.com. the bad parts are:

1. the omori boost gauge doesnt come with the right size "T" for our car, so im trying to find that part.

2. the oil pressure gauge doesnt come with the right parts for our cars, so im trying to find those parts.

3. the instructions SUCK because they are loosley translated from japanese, but after banging my head against the wall for hours, some kind soul pointed me to http://www.omori-na.com/manuals.htm which has ENGLISH versions of the manuals. MUCH easier.

and right now im trying to find a place that will drill and tap my manifold because that is beyond my abilities im sure.

oh, and i got oil pressure instead of temp after reading a bunch of posts on these boards. and there is already an "idiot light" for the oil temp...

thanks
