IMHO, the biggest problem with FMICs is that most of them require you to run an aftermarket intake which usually results in severe MAF misreadings and, as a result, drivability issues.

Intake with FMIC

You won't necessarily have to lose your intake with a FMIC. Just depends on which FMIC you go with. I saw a pic online of the APS FMIC (not the new one) with the Injen intake at www.indyimport.com Go to Galleries, and click on Phil Sweetpickuls car. The silicone tubing does lend itself to a bit of flexibility.
