Perrin vs Samco
OK, a few things. Who makes better intercooler and radiator hoses? Is and inlet tube worth it? Does someone have a picture of a wrx with the inlet tube installed? Also how are perrins uppipes and down pipes?

Unless there's a difference in the diameter i don't think it matters.
Unless you want to go with a certain manufacturer theme. Im sure both hoses are made of quality silicone and im sure they're both very smooth inside and allow for a "free-er" flow. I mean honestly, how good can a silicon hose be in comparison when they're made by two quality companies
So make you call on: price, color, company reputation, word of mouth, and also keep in mind that if you decide to buy the CAI/SRI from perrin that the hoses match with that too. That's if you ever decide on getting a CAI etc etc.

Edit: I have heard a lot of good things about Perrin Pipes too. an overall great product. and smooth inside to allow for less turblulent exhaust gases. I've held a few but never driven one. They appear to be a great product.

Intakes aren't really needed on the WRX or most turbo cars for that matter because your car may run too lean. Also, the air is going to get heated to the same temp as the turbo anyway. most people get SRI's or CAI's when they can't fit the stock airbox under the hood due to a FMIC.
If you want the SRI im sure it'll work with the inlet tube but you don't need the SRI. I'd just get the inlet tube to allow the air to go in smoother from the stock airbox. then upgrade all the hoses you want for matching looks and POSSIBLE gains.
as far as DP's and UP's... i think Perrin makes great one's of each. So... that's pretty much your call. Just do some searches and try to talk to people to see if they have had any problems in regard to leaks. Also try to figure out if you want a flex-joint or non-flex. the combinations are endless so ask around.
