got both installed today at dpt, turbo spools much faster especially from around 2300-3000 rpm you really feel the difference. Throttle response is also greatly increased. theres a lot less hesitation before 3000 rpm and you can really hear the turbo spool. highly recommend these mods for people looking for something that doesn't cost a ton of money. car does smell a lil of gas though but i feel its worth it

sweet...i was thinkin about buyin a turbo inlet pipe and then just throwin a cone on it...wud that increase hp and sound of the turbo spool? And if i upgraded the uppipe and dp wud i b not runnin smog legal anymore?

Thanks for the info...but i went onto that site u posted and i read the caption at the top and it says that i cant use the downpipe witout proper documentation sayin that i need to replace it...how do i get around wat the caption at the top says? and also...is the up-pipe u mentioned CARB legal as well?

 

The Impreza WRX Sti comes with an OEM cat-less up-pipe, which mates to the WRX as it is a factory part.

How many miles are on your odometer, when do you have to smog, are you still under warranty? These 3 should be your concern unless you've been bad and sent to the state referee.

If it's major, do more research: www.nasioc.com , www.clubwrx.net , www.dmv.ca.gov ,

otherwise, change the parts and drive safely.

 

this oem factory up-pipe for the sti...u say it will fit perfectly wit my 02 wrx? how is the install on that? hard? wud my local suby dealer do it for me...will i pass smog witout a prob and wont hav to switch back to my factory one? How much wud this up-pipe cost?
