Spent about an hour this morning installing new, black Perrin hoses...all except for the blow-off hose back to intake.....the spring clamp was installed by the factory with the tabs DOWN, under the hose.....too much monkeying around trying to get needlenose under there to undo stock clamp....so I left the stock hose. Aside from that the install was a piece of cake, and had no poor-fitting issues like I have read about. I sprayed a very small amount of silicone spray-lube on the I.D. of the hose taht clamps over the outlet of the compressor and it went right on.
Initial impressions after driving car (stock except for Prodrive exhaust and no intake resonator): only slightly noticeable difference, car feels a little more hard-edged first coming into boost...about 3200rpm or so.
But the work wasn't bad.....about the same wrestling as changing plugs.
Thanks to Andrew and Mike at GB Motorsports in Hayward for the hoses.

I had the same experience last week.
I managed to get the tabs facing up, but since I was going to change my BOV thiw week to a WORX anyway, I decided that it wasnt worth it. But to get at this clamp, you need to come in at an angle facing forward using angled pliers. Straight pliers will be tough. Anyways, I couldn't geta good enough frip on the Bov hoses to take it off so I left it.
I have some pics, but I don't really know how to post them.
FEEL: The differenceis slight. I think the turbo spools faster and is alittle more responsive. 5hp gain? hmm...debatable
