Geez... sorry, maybe I should READ sometimes. I gave you a response as though you wanted an UPPIPE
OK now for my real answer...
I do not have a downpipe, yet. But I've been happy enough with Helix's quality for my uppipe and can compare prices well enough that in the near future I'm going to go w/ the Helix.

According to Cobb (and others), the Bellmouth design enables slightly faster spool up. That would favor the Helix.
However, the Perrin is 321 stainless which is designed to for higher temp applications. Helix is 304. That favors the Perrin.
Tough decision.

Car Info: i got a STi, w/ Helix up pipe and helix racing downpipe
if you want a fooking loud car, match helix up/down with Apex'i GT spec cat back, i have that on a STI and it made 40 wheel HP, im not ****ting you either. and when u drive through a parking garage you set off every car alarm from 1998 on, not to mention when you drive it sounds like you are bein chased by a harly
ya i have helix DP im really happy with it too. had a little break while installing my uppipe due to some METAL IN MY EYEBALL! ouch that hurt, but hopefully the uppipe will be just as good.
JIC has just come out with a wrx dp.. theres not much info on the site http://www.jic-magic.com/productsjic_bullet_dpipe.htm
looks like bellmouth from the pic
anybody know anything about this?

Stromung
Has no one here seen the new Stromung 3" divorced DP w/ or without cat option yet?? I just got mine last week, it looks like a nice piece. outlet uses a stock type donut gasket, too, which is nice with my setup (stock resonator pipe/STi muffler). one of the cheapest DPs w/cat available. nice looking welds, too.
heres a write up about the different designs. cobb seems to conclude that bellmouth is the best, listing drawbacks to the other designs.

I'm shopping for a dp right now myself (leaning towards the jic to go with the jic catback), but reading that a while back has got me discarding anything thats not a bellmouth design.
