passing visual insp. w/aftermarket turbo

hey guys i tried searching on what aftermarket turbos you can pass the visual part of emissions with, but came up with nothing. I was specifically wondering about the FP turbos, the 18g, 20g, and Green. Im thinking that they would notice a 20g/Green wouldnt they? since they're on the large side. This would be on a daily driver so thats why this is an issue. Im not sure if the visual part of the inspection is the same in all states, but any help would be appreciated. thanks.

They probably wouldn't notice much if you had a heat shield over it. I know a hacked stock shield works with the VF series turbos, but I'm not sure about the 18/20g's. An aftermarket heat shield might draw attention and make things worse for you.

All in all, it depends on how knowledgeable your inspector is. Obviously a rotated G35 turbo would grab his attention, but the stock location/orientation turbos might slip right by.
