Overheating at idle
Overheating at idle
Im overheating at an idle at lights.......... as soon as i step on it drops down to normal........ is this a thermastat misreading and i need to replace?? water pump going?? need some advice./

Sounds to me like your fans aren't coming on....check the fuse(s)....try turning on the AC.....the fans should run with the AC on...

You need to top off your coolant! I have a 02 WRX and was having this same problem a few months ago and topping off the coolant made the problem go away.

How long have you been allowing this to happen? If it happened more than just a few times, go get a compression test -- aluminum blocks and heads rarely survive repeated overheats. Did you heat up enough to get a dash light?
