Is it ok to turn up boost with the stock uppipe in place?

Is it ok to turn up boost with the stock uppipe in place?
I have a turbo back exhaust, airbox silencer removed, and samco hoses. I still have the stock uppipe in place. Is it ok to turn up the boost with the stock uppipe?

If you have a stock turbo, no. Not really worth it when you weigh safety against the gains.

well aren't there lots of people with ~15-16 psi on stock turbo? I've not heard of any problems with 1-2 psi

I wouldn't do it without a catless uppipe. A new turbo is a lot more expensive than an uppipe.
