what normal operating range will the oil pressure on an 03 wrx be? what would be the max it should ever hit?

6bar in the cold, and 4bar under normal operating temps. At least that is what mine reads.

 

Geez, that seems high teiva-boy. Under normal opertating temp I see about 2 bar, sometimes even a bit less, like 1.7. When its cold I see around 6 bar, too. I am talking about idle/nuetral readings. Under moderate load I will see 4 ot 5 bar at normal temps. When cold, under load or not, its around 6 or 7. ***** out in any condition is around 6 or 7.

I can't remmber what my idle readings are. those are my during driving conditions readings

 

On cold startup: ~95 psi (6.5 bar)
Warmed-up idle: ~30 psi (2 bar)
Warmed up, under load: ~85 (5.9 bar)

Turbo'd engines are higher pressure than naturally aspirated.
