so i have done mutiple searches on this so called 3/16 mod.. yesterday, i went down to kragen (autoparts store) and bought that little connector.. plugged it in and took off.. boost seemed maybe a little bit more than normal but what threw me off was how much sound from the turbo i can hear now.. more than when i did the sliencer removal.. is that normal? is something working to hard under the hood now? (turbo) .. i have the stock turbo gage and it never went pass .1 on the gage.. is that fine.. if it does go more than that is that bad.. how many psi is .1mpa..? anyone have problem with this 3/16 that actually really hurt there car..? any help is always appricated...thanks!!!
u definetly should not do anything unless you know what it does to the mechanics of your car,
.1mpa on your gauge is ABOUT 14.5 lbs boost, theres a very fine line between safe boost and blowing something
if everything is hooked up right you should be fine, your car sounds different bc you made it work different

Naw... leave it in...it only opens up the vaccum hose a little more causing the wastegate to open a little later.
A cheap mod with no negative effects. I've been running it for 14k without any problems. It just causes the wastegate to open later, causing a slight spike in boost pressure. Not enought to go over .1 mpa, but enough to give the car a little humph.

Bottom line, we should do nothing to our car unless we are absolutely certain that we are comfortable with it. When the time comes for repairs because of a risky modding route, I'm the one who will have to open up my wallet and fork over the cash if something goes wrong and my warranty was voided because of the mods. Don't do anything you can't afford to fix yourself.
