Is This Normal!?!

Whats goood I-clubbers? I got a question I've been noticing a slight knock noise from my 04 wrx. I mainly hear the noise when my engine is really cold. I run it on Chevron 91, I try and add octane booster every time I fill up. I usually use lucas or NOS octane boosters. Every time i do use an octane booster it seems like the noise goes away or I just dont notice it as much. Is this normal????
P.S. The car is stock for the now ;-) besides my SPT exaust and Snorkus delete.

What kind of noise is it? A Video or Sound file will help.

If those are the noises, just use a thicker oil.

just because the K is silent doesn't mean it's any less important than the other letters.

knock - I want to see a pic of your rex

to the OP, just try a thicker oil, if that doesnt work, Id recommend having a shop look at it, or recording a video of it so we can hear it better.

Mobil One is okay but we're referring to the Weight of the oil. I assume you use your using 5w30, you should switch to 10w30.

Those octane boosters are a total waste of money. This is the only one that does what it says it does.

And to beat the dead horse. Use 10W30, it never gets that cold here for a 5W

Use a quart of Lucas oil stabilizer everytime you change your engine oil! My personal opinion, it works great!
