If you don't go crazy with the nitrous and run a wet system that provides additional fuel, it should be okay. If possible find some sort of engine management that will incorporate nitrous management for best safety margin.
Or do it the easy, safe way with a larger turbo, injectors, full exhaust, and reflash.

For the record: I am against nitrous in a WRX in general. Yes, it CAN be done safely, but the problem is that it's a drag-strip mod, and drag racing is a poor task for a WRX. Also, there's no faster way to blow up a stock motor than making a mistake with nitrous. If you're going to do it, make sure that you find someone local who understands how it really works. And be prepared to fix things anyway.
Naaaaawwwwwwwwwwwssssss! NOS="Not On Subaru's", NX="Nitrous Explosion" A small shot (35) is ok. Like BAN SUVS said, wet system only with proper EM. I wouldn't do it though on a daily driver. If you want a good drag WRX you need lots of cash.

In general, it's been said that forced induction and nitruous don't mix very well. Plus, N2O is mainly for drag racers, and like BAN SUVS said, the WRX is a poor candidate for drag racing.

I wanted to thank everyone for their input, it all made alot of sense. I was actually going to try and inject it directly into the intercooler, figuring that it would be easier on the engine and at the same time cool the intake air charge. Dont know if it would work? oh and i rarely drag my wrx, i just thought it would be cool to have nitrous on tap just in case.

I sugguest a water spray kit for that extra cold shot of air and good tuning.

There's a guy here in Colorado, his name is Harvey. Hod holds the current fast-trap record for N20 use. He used to run a wet injection set-up of Nitrous, and his engine went ka-blooey. Although I would reccomend against it, Talk to him if you MUST use NAWWWWWSSS.
