Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

new setup..(finally)rough idle? shaking

mods:
up pipe
down pipe
invidia cat back
fp18g
aps front mount
pe 800cc injectors
walbro fuel pump
cobb short ram
tuned with cobb access port v2 a few days ago

After i installed my turbo,fuel pump, and injectors it ran very rough and black smoke came out the tail pipe. Now tuned, the idle is jumping between 900 and 700 i could only see it on my access port. a/f ratio is between 12-17. someone told me its a misfire...

-update:
ok it was a misfire and running pretty bad. When I installed the injectors, I didn't notice a huge ground wire. Left it off and the car ran kinda ****ty. Funny thing is Mike at GST told me I probably left a grounding wire loose somewhere...finally found it

some readings:
a/f ratio= 14.3-14.8 before was 12-17
injector pulse= 2.0-2.3 before was 2.0-2.6
battery voltage=13.8 before was 12-14
rpm 840-780 thats off the top of my head before readings 900-700
exhaust readings:
hc=I think 150 before was 1200-1500 crazy...
co=.70 before was 1.0-2.30??

hopes this helps anyone in the future... I will never take a simple groundwire for granted

Thanks Mike.
