I noticed that my STi shakes or feels like its trembling when im at idle.. for instance at a traffic light..my friend who sat in the passenger seat said he also felt the car shaking..we both can feel it through the seats..i dont know what doing this but any thoughts would be nice..my STi is stock..for now..

STi will shake a little at idle theres not really a problem if really want to get rid of this issue get yourself an aftermarket balanced crankshaft theres all sorts of benefits to be had with that

^^^I agree. you might want to check the engine mounts and the pitch stop, see if they are cracked, especially the engine mounts since they are plastic.

yeah it shouldnt shake that bad at idle stock. Check the motor mounts. How about when you do a take off? Does it shake as you give gas and let out clutch?

umm no. i dunno about that one. If it's just minor shakes then it's normal. My 05 does it. (and it has solid mounts)

06 STI here. No rough idle or shaking for me. Just small vibrations here and there in the shifter when gripped, but that's normal.

It doesn't hurt to check your mounts though. (:

Yea, i remember reading on Wiki that '06 STi got plastic motor mounts and they do crack. But Subaru will change them to rubber ones if they cracked though...
