I'm willing to bet it's twin scroll. As far as I know Blitz is the only company to make a successful TT set up and that was with an EJ25.

twin turbo=2 turbo's
twin scroll= 1 turbo that has 2 exhaust inlets. Rather than having the DS and PS manifold meet at the collector there are 2 independant exhaust pipes running all the way to the turbo, one from the DS and one from the PS.

There is a factory twin-turbo engine in the Legacy 22b (JDM and AUS spec). I believe it is built on the J22 block, but it may be a J25. It is a sequential twin turbo; according to my Subaru mechanic (who's been to Japan for Master Mechanic classes) they have tried for four years to get the engine to pass California emissions and failed

From what I've read the sequential tt setup wasn't as good as the twin scroll because there was a dead spot in the tuning during the transition from 1 turbo to the other.

This should help answer your questions

BTW, $1000 sounds cheap. What exactly are you getting for $1000, just the block, a complete engine including the turbos or what?
