I Need Some Help Due To My Lack Of Mechanical Knowledge, Any Advice Greatly Appreciated. I Own A 04 Wrx Wagon, Completely Stock. Aprx 2 Weeks Ago My Check Engine Light Came On, It Stayed On For Aprx 50 Miles Then Went Off. I Noticed Some Decreased Performance, Especially Acceleration & When Climbing Grade. When Light Went Off Performance Was Normal Again. Last Friday Light Came On Again And I Went By Auto Zone To Have It Checked; Code 1091 But The Worker Couldn't Find A Reference For The Code. I Took It To The Dealer (warranty Expired 85,000 Miles) And Was Told It Was A Stuck Tgv #1. The Estimated Repair Cost Aprx. 1500.00. Any Suggestions Thanks

I think this might be one of those things that should be done by Subaru.
