Motor is really screwed up
ok about 3 weeks agao i got my turboxs ecu and uppipe installed in my03 turned into a beast as ride. felt like a whole new turbo in my car, had it tuned and dyno at 220 to the wheels. 2 weeks later my turboxs uppipe started to leak (piece of crap uppipe) so i took it back to get it fixed. they said that the turboxs uppipe is crap cause it doesnt fit good and it starts to leak so i said ok *insert exclamatory curse word* it ill buy the dc sport felix uppipe when i get some money. so i drove it off the lot and that night my car started to feel like trash, it was bogging, lagging, knocking clinking, omfg it was all *insert exlamatory curse word + ed* up. so i pulled over and noticed that my map switch was on the wrong map that didnt have a map on it. so i was thinking to my self crap i know my car detonated or something. well basically i was wondering what is the cheapest and best route to go to fixing my motor. i was thinking of taking off all my bolt-ons (exhaust, downpipe, uppipe, bov, turbotimer, boost controller, intake, and tein coilovers), and then taking it to subaru and getting it fixed under warrenty. PLEASE give me advise cause im stressing out a lot right now.
thanks guys i know i can get soem good info from you guys.

1. Find out what is really wrong... making wierd noises can be a number of things, and you really need to get someone in there and see waht is wrong.
2. Do not take off your bolt-on's and then take it in under warrenty... that is just plain dirty, especally if it is due to your modifications.

+1 on not going back to stock to have it fixed. You ply, you pay. The more people that do what you propose, the more like SOA is to deny warranty work that is authentically needed.

Chances are it wasn't the TXS pipe that was the problem. More likely its the installer who screwed it up. A flex pipe is actually easier to install. It doesn't mean that TXS' is crap. When you install a solid uppipe you have to take special care to torque the bolts of both the uppipe and the downpipe in sequence in a round-robin-ish fashion. Do it properly, it won't leak. You should still do this with a flex pipe, but doing it well is not as critical.

well its gonna cost me alot of money to find out whats exactly wrong w/ my motor cause i sure as hell cant do it. they said that i probably blew 2 pistons. so should i buy a new motor like a jdm sti block. what do you think i should do cause either way my motor is ****ed and it needs to come out and get replaced???
Dude, what the hell are you smoking.. Putting it back to stock and then going to the dealer. Well now.. I can't really think of the legal term.. slander. Not not slander.. its something though.. but lying to the dealer after stating that... woot for you..
Your post has probably already been read by a rep or a parts person (I know a local dealer whose parts guy searches for posts on forums like these) and then you are going to take your car, put it back to stock and get all up in the dealers face.. God dude, don't make me laugh; yeah its been pulled before but karma will come back and bite you in your *insert exclamatory curse word*-ing ***.
Coilovers have nothing to do with the motor... hence you really shouldn't worry about taking those off if youa re still going to go ahead and do this. Yet maybe they could try to pull some geometric-angle bs on you -- then again you would deserve it for going in and LYING.
--------------------------------------
What you can do... spend 40 bucks, get a compression tester. Do a compression test.. if you need info/instructions just ask. You can also do an oil change -- see if there is any coolant in your oil or pieces of piston, etc -- this isnt always the case.. sometimes it works.
I'd definitely say compression test the bastard see what comes up. Then go from there.
Are you sure you have hardware damage though? Were you boosting around with no map?
No experience in this question hence the reason I'm asking it. If there was no map on that switch. Wouldn't the stock ecu take over? Thats how my UTEC works... I know that for a fact.
Last thing -- if you are in CT/NY/MA I'd be willing to help you diagnose.
