most recommended exhaust?
i have an apexi n1 on my car, just the muffler but i want a real one with piping and everything, what should i purchase, what doesnt sound to loud but reallly good in performance?
Do a search, and see what everyone has to say about each exhausts. I have the turboxs turboback, and i love it. I've also heard a lot of good things about the helix turboback. It also depends on how much you want to spend.

It'd be best to run a search; this is a very common topic here.
Also, be more specific: are you looking for just a catback? a turboback? are you worried about loudness? are you worried about emissions? any particular look that you like?

I personally have a perrin.....probably one of the loudest exhausts out there....but I love it....just have to be VERY cautious when the man is around, and learn the whole 1st-to-3rd trick to keep your R's low so your engine is in stealth mode.

PS- I had a po follow behind me for probably a mile, on my way home from work today.....man I was sweatin' bullets, cuz my exhaust is pretty loud, and I have been lucky enough to not have any close encounters....but he didnt do anything, Plus I think the fact that my exhaust is a twin tip, it looks pretty stock at a glance, and not a huge melon launcher, probably helped.

The best TBE's (especially their DP's) on the planet IMO are the CES Racing systems. I'm currently running a CES WRX "street" edition modded to fit my Legacy but will be running a CES Legacy "semi-race" soon. I already have it but haven't done the swap yet.
Here's a shot of the Legacy DP which is exactly the same as the WRX and STI edition except the Legacy DP is bunged for an O2 sensor in the DP. It's a Hyper coated (ceramic) stainless steel twin dump:

Here's some more pics of my new system that's waiting to go in, these are on a friends site:

I personally have a MRT turbo back, and it's great. It isn't that loud, it's only a 3" tip, so it doesn't look melonshooter (i looked at my friend's exhaust on his exclipse that was stock and it amazed me because it looked similar to my tip). And I think Turbo Magazine did a performance test on different exhaust and the MRT was one of the best gains.

I love my Greddy Evo (cat-back). And this weekend I heard a Bosal cat-back that sounded really good. My Greddy is quieter than the Bosal, but the Bosal is a little more throaty. Most cat-backs give similar power gains, it's more about looks and sound.

Vid of a stealth looking, catted, relatively quiet turboback
Enjoy...but don't expect gains from a catback.
