Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Is MoRe BoOsT tHiS eAsY??

So I read this on Overboost.com in one of there tech articles, was wondering if it was true? and if it is something safe you could do on the 02-04 WRX/STI?

"Those of you running turbochargers, listen up! Many stock (and even tuning shop) configurations use a port on the compressor housing to provide a pressure reference to the wastegate. What this ends up meaning is that the wastegate sees a pressure signal that's a little higher than pressure at the intake manifold because of the pressure drop through the intercooler and its plumbing. By simply capping the compressor fitting and moving the wastegate signal line to the intake manifold, you can pick up a few more pounds of turbo boost and enjoy more responsive boost control." www.overboost.com

it sounds viable but I thought that I would check with some of you first to see what you thought.

Thanks..

Yes you could do that, but the MAP sensor would override your settings I bet. The ECU controls all

Get a way to bypass the factory boost controller system, then we're talking.
