You can mod the stocks but I believe when you mod them they push out a LOT of fuel, ~700-800cc, which may be way too much for a vf34 app. I haven't seen any modded injectors that pump out around 565cc.

I consider modding stock injectors the worst thing you can do to your car, besides putting the "euro" tailligts on it. It is too easy to screw things up. Causing your injectors to have uneven flow will do some mucho harm. These days, the STi injectors are easy to find and are pretty cheap. Invest in those. Fuel system is one part of your car tunning where you dont want to cut any corners.

But i have one question. I have heard that I can Mod my stock injectors to feed fuel to the vf-34 the same as the sti pinks. I have heard that the injectors are the same except for the restrictor cap on top. Is this true?? If so, can someone please tell me if they have or know someone who has done this mod, and how the car is running with it??
in addition to what alex has said, tuning the modded injectors for the UTEC has proven to be a major pain in the ****.

As for uneven flow, you can always send them out to Venom or RC Engineering to get them flow tested/matched. There are several cars that have had modded stocks for a while and are running nice and strong, but I'm a bit skeptical myself because this technique has only been out for a VERY short time (for WRX's at least). There aren't many factors steering me away from this besides my personal speculation.

I have friends running Stock Mod injectors, 02 18G 630cc, 04 Sti 680cc, 02 Vf34 630cc and I have another friend who ran Sti Pinks on his VF34 Utec and did not have enough fuel from these injectors. As for tuning Mod injectors w/Utec I dont hear any of my friends complaining, but if you running a reflash you may wanna ask the company first. Example Vishnu, who never answered my email or pm's.

When you get done with modding the stock injectors, you might want to think about cross drilling your stock rotors.

Sorry, I was born a smart ****. The real answer is that $350-$500 on STi pinks or PE injectors is 10X less than what an engine bay fire will cost you. Do it the right way the first time.
