manual boost controler on an 04?

manual boost controler on an 04?

i have heard there have been problems with manual boost controlers with the 04s. some kind of loop problem. if someone can give me some more info that would be great cuz im hopin to get one and just run it at 15.7 psi or so untill i get the money for my accessport.

The '04+ cars have a delay going from closed loop to open loop fueling. IMO, if you're planning on getting the AP then you should just hold off on raising the boost with a MBC.

I have a GFB Atomic MBC on my 04. I guess some people think that getting a MBC means raising the boost, which some people do. What's nice about the GFB is that i just hit full boost faster without raising the psi. Just my .02

so ur gfb works fine on your 04? no excesive or violent spiking?

nope. works like a charm. The trick is setting it. I know a lot of people would rather you buy the AP but i simply dont have the money.

ya me neither haha so u set it at stock levels? do u think i could set it at about 15.5 or would that give me problems? do you have to learn to avoid PTFB problems? hod did u do that

im from socal so the weather is pretty nice and ill prob have my accespport by the time it starts to get hot again next summer so im set

I dont get any boost spikes. If you look at the GFB wesite, they dynoed the boost controller. I have had this unit on my car for some time now and still no problems
