I have a totally stock WRX sedan. Recently it suddenly was down on power. It used to hit a max boost of 0.1 MPa (14.5) on the steering column-mounted gauge. Now, when I step on the gas the needle gets to about 0.085 MPa and then immediately backs down to 0.075 MPa (11 psi) and stays there. Any idea what might have caused this change? What is the max boost that most people see on their WRXs?

What could have caused the sudden drop in boost? How should I go about diagnosing this problem? I took the car to the local subaru dealer since it is still under warranty but their mechanics were of no help, insisting that 11 psi is normal...
