just got my WRX
i just got my 03 WRX about 2 weeks ago and i love it. i used to have a 00 Celica GTS 6 speed and this thing just blows it out of the water. the WRX is awesome. i dont know if im going to be modding it at all, but i do want to get a BOV for it. is there anyway i can make the stock BOV louder until i got some time to save up money for an aftermarket one? ive been searching the forums and it seems like there is a way to make the stock louder, but im not sure.
thanks guys

You can take the intake silencer out. That will make the stock BOV louder. There is a write-up on www.scoobymods.com, but it just converted to a pay site. It may be worth your couple dollars to get a detailed write-up with pics, though. Otherwise, others may be able to help you out with directions here.

thats somewhat correct... by taking the intake silencer out you hear the waste gate more, not the bov

werd. Intake silencer is good for a free mod. Helps the sound aspect out a little. There are many BOVs for sale on various sites for sale forums. They sell cheap.

Be careful when buying a BOV that you get a recirculating one instead of an atmospheric release one (did I recall correctly? I'm not so savvy about BOV's
). You should run a search on some of the tech threads addressing BOV's on the WRX in order to maximize safety, performance, and style
