Oh hell no, you did not just say "Version 8" motor. ARGH!!!!

Humor me, tell me what is V8 motor and what is the difference between v7 and v8.

Also, what model year do you refer to when you say v8?

I am very picky about this, as saying V8 motor is just as good as saying a P7 toaster.

version 8 has bigger ports in the head vs v7. the p7 toaster is after the p6. the dials are more exact so you can toast it up just right

if you have the sti wiring harness it is the same as plugging the harness into the stock ecu. If you plan to use the the wrx wiring harness you must make a separate harness for the avcs wiring, if you plan to use it. there are several diagrams for the pin outs somewhere on this forum

I know the JDM V8 STI motor uses equal length headers and supports a twin scroll IHI VF37 but that only covers differences in the pre turbo exhaust and the turbo. Are there any other differences other than the heads, exhaust manifold, upipe and turbo?

I have the 2005 version 8 twin scroll motor in my car and i luv it. It works great out of this world spool up time. It was not that hard to wire up. You have made a great purchase.

:slap forhead:

Stop calling it Version 8!!!

Plus, there is STi and STi Spec C versions on each model year that twin scroll came with.

People please, call New Age motors by their JDM model year, not by "Versions" which do not mean anything.

i actually prefer my STi MY01 motor because of the forged pistons.

I've actually seen the pistons break apart on the USDM V8 STi motors ..which are constructed from the same material as the JDM STi MY04-05 pistons.
