JDM 2.0 TMIC vs. USDM 2.5 TMIC

JDM 2.0 TMIC vs. USDM 2.5 TMIC
Would there be a significant difference between running a JDM 2.0 TMIC and a USDM 2.5 TMIC on a EJ20 with a VF30?
I've been told that fitting the USDM TMIC on an EJ20 is not easy and that the JDM is a direct swap and sized better for the displacement (obviously).
On the flip side, I can get a USDM TMIC very easily, whereas a JDM version is harder and more expensive to find.
Just trying to figure out my options as I move forward...thanks!
