Issue with Knock
Hey guys,
I just put my stage 4+ set up on about a month a go now. Since I put it on its been fairly warm out for this time of year here. Usually like in the 60's. I never had a problem running the base map and getting too much boost or dentonating, until now. Now the weather is cold cold, like 30's 40's and I keep turning the ABC lower and lower, and it doesnt help any. I see way too much boost in pretty much every gear, and itll knock just as I pass 6k taking it up to the redline. It was pissing me off soo bad last week i put 3/4 tank of 100 octane mixed with a 1/4 tank of the 93 and it stopped knocking entirely. Then the last three days were in the 50's 60s, and the car ran great. Now today it got really really cold in the 30's again, and the car see's too much boost and knocks again. I had to get more gas today cuz I ran out of the 100 mix that was in there so I filled it with just 93 today so that might have made it worse again. I dunno, its pissing me off, any of you guys/gals have any thoughts or suggestions. Im afraid my cars gonna get hurt from me detonating all the time. I would like to get this problem taking care of asap. Thanx in advance guys!!

This is an issue with most turbo cars running non-factory engine controls (and some that are factory). Pretty much everyone needs to do this, especially if you have a stand-alone which can't correct for knock or is MAP+load based rather than MAF based.
