Intake tube will make lean condition?

I recently purchased a new Blitz SUS intake that I needed because I am going to be running a Greddy FMIC. I have heard of skewed MAF readings, but with this setup being the same size as stock, will I have to worry about this? Is an ECU reflash the only remedy? I will be running stock boost on a stock turbo with a full exhaust as the only other real power mod. Thanks...

Far as i know its the CAI that causes erractic intake readings on the MAF. Now i have seen short ram setups that seem to work really well and with the FMIC this type of piping may be your only real option.

It makes no real sense to use a FMIC with that setup other than remove a hood scoop...

If you want to see real improvement on your car get the ECU reflashed. Even with the TMIC you will be amazed what power it has with that freed up exhuast.

Its a long story about me getting a FMIC... The issue I am worried about is the car running too lean because of skewed MAF readings. The factory hood scoop is gone already... yeah, its a work in progress, no I havent driven it with that hood and no FMIC for longer than a couple minutes, and it never saw boost.

and, yes, I know how to lean a car out too much, and what it does

well looks like you know what your getting into then

I saw this fmic with short ram setup on xcelleration.com 's webpage you may look to see what kind of MAF they are using and short ram. Also get some kind of engine management system so you can add fuel if you think its gone a lil too lean.

Just make sure the tubing is the same size as stock.
